Pravin hails from Madras (Chennai) India. After his Bachelors in EE from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, India, he pursued his Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida, Orlando. He worked as as DSP-System engineer with Motorola Inc/Freescale Semiconductors from 2002-2005. while at Motorola he had the opportunity to co-invent and author 3 US patents which were implemented in a next generation 3G phone. He is presently continuing his doctoral studies in Electrical Engineering with the University of Florida as a part of CNEL department under the supervision of Dr. John Harris.
His interests include Digital signal processing for wireless communications, speech enhancement for wireless telephony, and speech packet loss compensation.
