Hybrid Computational Group is a part of Computational Neuro Engineering Laboratory (CNEL) in  Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Florida led by Dr. John Harris. The research group is devoted to the development of theoretical concepts and practical applications of research problems originating from diverse fields, such as, Speech and Language Processing, Automatic Speech Recognition, Neural Networks, Signal Processing, Human-Machine Interaction Biomedical Signal Processing and Neuromorphic chips using Analog VLSI. The group is developing biologically inspired algorithms for sensory and neural processing that can be implemented in analog VLSI or DSP systems. Hybrid means that we combine elements of analog/digital or biological/artificial).

The group also conducts weekly seminars and presentations. Information about current projects can be found in the projects section. The group also copiously publishes papers in various journals and conferences which can be accessed from the publications section.
