Welcome to the course. Taking courses through FEEDS is a challenge
because you cannot meet face to face with the instructor, the TA or any of
the on-campus students. You have to work hard to make sure that the
lecture tapes don't pile up on you.

All assignment deadlines will be delayed by exactly one week from the
class deadlines. This semester the first five lecture tapes were sent out
very late so I am giving an extra one-week extension for the first
homework assignment only. (Of course, you should finish the assignment as
soon as you can.) In summary, HW#1 can be two weeks later than than
the listed due date and all other assignments and exams are one week
later than the published deadlines.

Please do not fax or fedex anything to me. Always US mail your
assignments to me at the following address. We will use the postmarks to
determine if the assignment is late or not.
