Corequisite: You should take the required 1 credit lab EEL4304L at the same time as EEL3304

Required textbook: Microelectronic Circuits, Sedra & Smith, Oxford University Press, 4th Ed., 1997. ISBN 0-19-511663-1 DO NOT BUY THE 3RD EDITION!

Class Meeting: MWF, period 2 (8:30am-9:20), NEB 100.

Topics: Chapters 1-7 of the text. Primarily circuit applications using operational amplifiers, diodes, bipolar transistors and MOSFETs. Later in the course we study differential/multistage amplifiers and frequency response.

Schedule: Short quizes (10-15 minutes) will be given every Friday. Several SPICE projects will be assigned. Two exams and a comprehensive final examination will be given.

Note to EEL4304L students: There will be no labs the first week of class. Attend your first lab on Tuesday, September 2 (Monday is a holiday). Do not buy a textbook yet for the class.
